Reclaimed Water Grace Period

Starting Jan. 16, 2024, all reclaimed water customers will have four months from the date their digitally metered water usage data is available in the new before the new rates post to their bills.

Additional Information

  • The water and sewer base charge is billed bimonthly for each customer whether the water is on or off.
  • Single family residences have a sewer volumetric cap of 10,000 gallons per month.
  • The sewer equivalent residential unit (ERU) for commercial accounts is 5,000 gallons per month.

New Reclaimed Water Rate Structure

As part of our Advanced Metering Infrastructure project, 新澳门六合彩 Utilities is installing new digital meters across our service area to provide for more precise and up-to-date water readings, which will allow customers to see how much reclaimed water they are using for the first time. This new rate structure will make water more affordable while encouraging conservation.

This gives you time to better understand your water usage and implement water conservation measures as needed.

Late Payment Fee

A fee of 10% of the balance due ($1 minimum and $500 maximum) will be added to delinquent payments. You can find more information on late payments here.

Past Due Account Payment Example

  • 2 days after due date: You will receive a courtesy call if a phone number is available.
  • 3 days after due date: You will receive a delinquent bill mailed to the address on file.
  • 3 days after due date: You will have a late fee of 10 percent added to your account. The late fee is 10 percent of the past due amount with a minimum of $1 to a maximum of $500.
  • 8 days after due date: A pre-termination notice will be mailed to both the mailing and the service address on file. A fee of $18 is also added to your account.
  • 15 days after due date: Your account is disconnected and you are charged a $21 fee.
  • Once you make a payment to restore service, you will be charged a reconnection fee of $32 for same day service or $19 for next day service.

Security Deposit

Residential Properties

The security deposit amount is based on the size of the meter and services provided. Deposits for single family properties range from $100 to $1,115. Residential deposits are applied to the account as a credit with interest after a good payment history over a 24-month period. If the account is closed prior to the 24-month period, the deposit and interest is applied toward the final bill balance. Any remaining credit is refunded.

Commercial Properties

All commercial properties are required to pay a security deposit. Commercial deposits range from $100 to $18,850. Commercial deposits are not eligible for refund until the service has been finalized.

Deposit Interest

Residential and commercial accounts accrue deposit interest annually based on a six-month average of the 13-week Treasury Bill.

Deposit Waiver

The security deposit can be waived on a residential property if you have been a customer with 新澳门六合彩 in the past year with a good account payment history.

Letter of Reference

The security deposit can be waived on a residential property with a reference letter from a major electric, gas, telephone or water company. You must have a good account payment history with no more than one delinquent account payment in a one-year period, no returned checks and no delinquent terminations.

The letter of reference must be submitted to custsrv@pinellas.gov and include a full name, the service address and your 新澳门六合彩 Utilities account number.

Military Customers

Veterans must provide a copy of their DD214 to qualify for a residential deposit waiver.

Delinquent Deposit

A delinquent deposit may be required if there is delinquent account activity.
