Virtual Inspections
Save time using our new virtual inspection tool! Customers have the option to complete certain inspections virtually, without waiting for an in-person inspector. The process is fast, easy and convenient.
Virtual inspections are available for express permits only for the following permit types:
- Mechanical air conditioner replacement (changeout)
- Water heaters (all types)
- Water softener replacement
This applies to same-day issued, licensed contractors only. Owner builders and private providers, please contact us.
There are two options for virtual inspections:

Getting Started with Your Permit Application
Permit applications must be submitted using the . A user account is required to submit all application types.
Before performing your virtual inspection, please fill out the following forms and upload them to your permit in the :
- Virtual Inspections Consent Form 鈥� This form is required for all virtual inspections.
- Virtual Inspections Wire Size Affidavit 鈥� This form is required for all air handler virtual inspections.

Tips for a Successful Virtual Inspection
- Activate your mobile device鈥檚 GPS Location Services in Settings before the inspection begins. You must accept the prompts requesting permission to use the camera and access to your location.
- Ensure good connectivity when uploading your inspection report.
- Ensure proper lighting during your inspection.
