Public Defender Sixth Judicial Circuit
The Public Defender鈥檚 Office represents defendants, both adults and juveniles, accused of a crime who cannot afford an attorney. They also represent individuals facing involuntary commitment under the Baker Act or those ordered to involuntary civil commitment. Public Defenders are elected to serve four-year terms.
